Although I work in web software, my original background is art and animation. I still enjoy making things less practical than code—and I’m inspired by artists who make art with code, as well. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to p5.js, and since then I’ve been experimenting with what it means to me to “sketch” with code. It’s liberating to creatively misappropriate the tools I use in my professional work for aesthetic investigations. It is a practice in progress.
I also enjoy photography, especially concert and street photography (global situation permitting), and post somewhat regularly on instagram. A selection of the images where I’ve come closest to my target idea or vision are shared here.
